Poems for Performance

As part of her collaborations with other performers and writers Eleanor has been developing poetry that is also innovative live performance.   This is a reponse to her perception that poetry needs to be presented in a context that informs and supports the meaning of the poem. This approach can inform both the writing and the presentation of Eleanor’s poetry.

Projects:

In 2008 Eleanor collaborated on Eliza and the Bear: a poem in performance with perfomer Cathy Butterworth and writer/harpist Rebecca Joy Sharp who wrote a specially commissioned harp score for the 35 mins performance. The piece was performed a range of unusual venues across the North West including a medieval water tower in Chester.
